The Polish born violinist Dorota Siuda enjoys today a busy concert schedule throughout Europe and the American continent. An active soloist and chamber musician she performs alongside such artists as: Frans Helmersson, Christian Lindberg, Mihaela Martin, Lars Anders Tomter, Antoine Tamestit, Nathalie Stutzmann, Barbara Hendricks, Torleif Thedeen. A recent highlight included the performance of Grazyna Bacewicz Violin Concerto No 3 at the Berwaldhallen Stockholm (SWE) under the baton of the renowned international artist, Christian Lindberg.
Dorota has been a top prizewinner at many European and American competitions, most notably at the H.Wieniawski International Violin Competition, Poznan (PL), the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition, Folkstone (UK) and Pasadena Violin Competition, Pasadena, California (US). Dorota Siuda has been the concertmaster and leading soloist of Musica Vitae chamber orchestra (SWE) since 1994 as well as guest concertmaster with major Scandinavian and European orchestras including Brussels Phil. and Kungliga Kapellen in Copenhagen. Since 2009 she has been a guest artist at “Virtuosi” International Music Festival in Recife,Brazil.
An alumnus of University of Southern California (US) , Academy of Musik in Bydgoszcz (PL) and variety of music sessions in Europa Dorota was privileged to benefit from the artistic guidance of such artists as: Stanislaw Hajzer, Eberhard Feltz, Zahar Bron, Lynn Harell ,Oleg Krysa, Wolfgang Marschner,Herman Krebbers ,Simon Rattle ,Viktor Liberman,Yehudi Menuhin, Kurt Levin ,Witold Lutoslawski,Yuri Temirkanov and Robert Lipsett Dorota has also developed a keen interest in teaching and she has been holding regular master classes in Sweden and Poland for many years now.She also participated in FJC Faculty in Paipa,Columbia in 2013.
In 2010 Dorota Siuda was awarded the Cultural Prize of Southern Sweden in recognition of her achievements in the field of music.
