The First  MiN ensemble International Music Competition

for Strings

 

VIDEO SELECTION (travelling is NOT required to apply).

For the first round of the competition the jury will be listening videos sent to us in application form (attached links should be uploaded on YouTube private or public and not be older more than 2 years at the time of applying). Competitors are advised to upload at least one virtuosic piece. 

CATEGORIES

 

  • Category A: String players up to 15 years old

​      (Violin - Viola - Cello - Double Bass)

       First round (recording): Free repertoire up to 10 min

       Final round (live): Free repertoire up to 10 min (program can be repeated from the first round)

  • Category B: String players up to 20 years old

       (Violin - Viola - Cello - Double Bass)

       First round (recording):Free repertoire up to 15 min

       Final round (live):​ Free repertoire up to 15 min (program can be repeated from the first round)

  • Category C: String players up to 25 years old

       (Violin - Viola - Cello - Double Bass)

       First round (recording):Free repertoire up to 20 min

       Final round (live): Free repertoire up to 20 min (program can be repeated from the first round)

From category A will be chosen top 3 candidates to participate in final round

From category B will be chosen top 6 candidates to participate in final round  ​

From category C will be chosen top 6 candidates to participate in final round

Notification on passing to the final round (results) will be sent to the candidates no later than 15th of October

The final round (live) will be held in Narvik Concert Hall (Teatarsalen) on 15th of November (new date).

Please note that rehearsals with the pianists will be held two days prior to the final round of the competition. 

All the travel and bording expenses for the finalists will be covered by US.
